В этом давно обещанном посте, немного сумбурном и непоследовательном, расскажу о том, как я в течение двух месяцев была заложником крайне несовершенного процесса поиска работы программистом в Кремниевой Долине. Если бы не помощь, то неизвестно, сколько еще я бы обивала пороги компаний разного формата и размера. Также уточню, что это опыт поиска первой работы в США и первой работы по специальности вообще, даже без каких-то стажировок в прошлом, поэтому имелась определенная специфика в виде того, что из-за вышеуказанных двух пунктов со мной просто никто не хотел говорить.

Первая неделя официально подходит к концу (предыдущая кишка из 1.25 дней не считается). Пока что очень нравится.
Первые два дня не вылазила с тренингов. Лаборатория все-таки. Вообще, мне везет на офисную работу в «неофисной организации». Только раньше я километры в день наматывала по цехам, а теперь в лабораторию надо выбираться только по особому случаю, поэтому от непривычки сидеть по 8 часов тело слегка офигевает. Но за эргономикой тут следят чуть ли не фанатично, так что проблем с этим не будет.
Люди очень приятные. Никто не дергает. Интроверт во мне ликует.

@amitbhandari This is a good start. Do you have any type faces that better communicate cheapness? Also, the typeface you use for «the code» doesn’t evoke code for me.
Finally, keep in mind that this will be on a t-shirt so the fonts should be thicker (so they’ll stand up to repeat washings better). Also, I don’t think we need the attribution in the design itself.

@DragonVirus my subjective impression is that this design is too literal. I’m skeptical that members of our community would pay for this and wear it. Do you have any other ideas for how you could execute this design?

I thought about this and simply sketched (first draft). I googled images, as reference, of angrybird chirping / cheap / yoda (outfit and thought process) / chalk board (from googling «show me») w/ written code (also code of 0’s and 1’s on the birds face).
Further art direction would help.
